ICAT Holdings LLC (ICAT) announced today the creation of a new underwriting syndicate at Lloyd's of London, designated as ICM Syndicate 4242, to support the company's underwriting of catastrophe-exposed properties throughout the United States. Syndicate 4242 will commence underwriting business on January 1, 2007 and joins the more than 300-year-old market's existing community of 66 syndicates.

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation appointed ICAT Specialty Insurance Company ("ICAT") as the first Servicing Carrier for the newly activated Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association (PCJUA). Governor Jeb Bush and the Florida Cabinet approved an Emergency Rule which activated the PCJUA in order to provide commercial property insurance for small Florida businesses that are unable to find wind/hail coverage in the admitted or surplus lines insurance markets.
